Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.99% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 1.44%, and the index added 2.15%.

The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:), which rose 3.90% or 0.565 points to trade at 15.055 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (DE:) added 3.75% or 0.558 points to end at 15.422 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) was up 2.83% or 0.266 points to 9.670 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 0.95% or 0.410 points to trade at 42.635 at the close. Vonovia SE (DE:) declined 0.23% or 0.12 points to end at 52.74 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:) was down 0.04% or 0.10 points to 277.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were Grenke N AG (DE:) which rose 7.76% to 101.40, Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which was up 4.85% to settle at 78.64 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which gained 3.76% to close at 237.200.

The worst performers were Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:) which was down 0.81% to 12.2150 in late trade, Puma SE (DE:) which lost 0.77% to settle at 70.75 and Grand City Properties SA (DE:) which was down 0.34% to 23.54 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which rose 8.11% to 20.660, Aixtron SE (DE:) which was up 4.32% to settle at 11.110 and Jenoptik AG (DE:) which gained 3.94% to close at 25.860.

The worst performers were Software AG (DE:) which was up 0.03% to 33.820 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 0.49% to settle at 26.630 and Varta AG (DE:) which was up 0.53% to 75.400 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 507 to 175 and 62 ended unchanged.

Shares in Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.83% or 0.266 to 9.670. Shares in Grenke N AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.76% or 7.30 to 101.40. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 4.85% or 3.64 to 78.64. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 3.76% or 8.600 to 237.200. Shares in Aixtron SE (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.32% or 0.460 to 11.110.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.97% to 14.16.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.67% or 10.65 to $1568.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.19% or 0.59 to hit $50.16 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.86% or 0.99 to trade at $54.26 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.0918, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8430.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.627.
